Nourish Yourself With Inspiration

One of the most important things you can do to help your business grow is a somewhat indirect action. And that is to keep your heart and soul nourished with inspiration….

Inspiration to keep taking action to move your business forward every day.

Inspiration to try again when the first attempt didn’t work out quite as well as you had hoped.

Inspiration to persist in the face of difficulties and even failures that are an inevitable part of running a business.

Inspiration to dream bigger and to take action on those dreams even when you are not yet sure how to do all that will be needed to reach your big dream.

Inspiration to take a day off on the weekend for rest and re-energizing yourself, even when there is a lot of work waiting to be done.

Inspiration is vital to the success of your business.  Especially when you are a small business owner or if you work at home as a solo-preneur.  One of my favorite resources for this is short inspirational quotes. I like to print them and put them where I can see them during the day.

Quote from your favorite business author or from historical figures are great. I love quotes from Jerry and Esther Hicks. Quotes from your preferred spiritual books and teachers are excellent too.

I would love to know what your favorite sources of inspiration are…I invite you to write a comment to share one of your favorites.

Leslie, Thank you for a great article. I inundate myself with inspirational quotes daily. One of my favorite places to get them is http://quotations.about.com/cs/inspirationquotes/a/Funny16.htm not to mention from the Bible and mentors.
My favorite “It’s not what happens to you, it’s how you handle it” – Scott Michael

I like my inspiration to be filtered thru the eyes and heart of children. As My own grew up the world became amazing tome again. Your article here brings to mind Is a book written by a man named Flynn… his only book http://amzn.to/dh1zlA “Mr God This is Anna” about a street child that I believe was protected by an angel. In it Flynn showed Anna a “mirror book”., two mirrors taped together. As the sides folded together more and more reflections were seen. ANNA’s response: “There’s a whole world in there!” GREAT more tears here as I am reminded how much we need each other. BLESSINGS !

This may seem strange, but my biggest source of inspiration is Twitter. I’m following some amazing people, and some tweet inspiration quotes and motivational quotes, and I find this really helping throughout the day while I’m working. Also on my igoogle wall, I have an Inspirational Quotes widget too, which I normally check in the morning. FYI, my quote today is “Most of our obstacles would melt away if, instead of cowering before them, we should make up our minds to walk boldly through them.”
- Orison Swett Marden. Excellent post Leslie :)
