Grow Your Business and Make It Bloom

Is your business growing and “blooming” beautifully?  A business is a lot like a plant.  It is growing and changing and it needs certain things to help it really flourish and bloom. A plant needs the right combination of sunlight and good soil and nutrients and water in order to grow and bloom.  Your business needs things to help it grow and thrive and “bloom” too. For example, your business needs to be visible.  You need to make your business visible in a variety of ways so that potential customers can find you and learn about how you can help … {Continue Reading… }

Attract More Clients: How to Find Them and How They Find You

I was taking a business class last week and one of the ideas that really caught my attention was that if you have 100 core ideas you may be able to build a revenue stream or even a whole business around it. That got me to thinking about one of the favorite topics that I coach and teach my clients about, and that is ways to grow your business and attract more clients. I started to think about whether I have, or could create, one hundred or more ideas on this topic. I found that I already have a pretty … {Continue Reading… }

Grow Your Business By Setting Your Priorities

This week I had a couple of family priorities that required my time….things that required appointments during the regular “work day” hours.  So that meant juggling my business commitments to fit around these appointments. Grow Your Business: Have Alternate Activities You Can Do

I woke up with a migraine headache yesterday morning.  This happens every so often and it can really affect my plans for the day.  Fortunately, I was able to take some meds and I gradually felt somewhat better by early afternoon.  But my schedule and plans for the morning required some major adjustments. I felt able to listen in to a CEU teleclass as planned, sitting with a cup of tea and taking notes.  And I was able to check my email inbox and to make a couple of simple phone calls.  But I did have to cancel out on a … {Continue Reading… }

Connecting and Re-Connecting with colleagues, friends, and business contacts

A few days ago, I drove to Austin to meet my friend Paula for dinner.  This is pretty amazing because we have not seen each other for more than 30 years.   We were best friends in seventh, eighth, and ninth grades and shared many interests.   When we were in high school, her family moved away and then we gradually lost touch over the years.     With the advent of Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and other social media sites, we found each other again.   We exchanged some emails and talked by telephone.  When she mentioned that she would be nearby in Austin for a … {Continue Reading… }

Listening to books to soak up new ideas quickly and easily

I just finished reading a book that I found very helpful.  Well, technically, I listened to it….it was an audio book recorded on CDs that I had checked out from the public library.  Listening to audio books is one of my favorite ways to “read”  books.  Here are some ways you might choose to experiment with listening to audio books too.  1. It is easy to listen to audio books while doing daily tasks.  You can listen while doing simple business tasks such as starting your computer, filing, or driving to networking events or appointments.   Since these types of tasks are part of most entrepreneurs’ weeks anyway, you can add the pleasure … {Continue Reading… }
